Healing Tonics are one of the two basic healing items in the game, together with Dumplings. Whereas Dumplings heal all health but require a long time doing so (20 seconds), Healing Tonics only recover 30% health, but does it much faster (12 seconds). Healing tonics can be used both in combat and out of combat.
