Overview
Competitive clans are part of the Clan System in Blade & Soul. They have all the perks of a social clan but it allows the clan leader to choose a battle commander and join in competitive clan battles. Also the clan has access to a clan outfit and Workshops for crafting items such as a Hongmoon Pellet needed for some Hongmoon skills. The clan has a permissions system that allows control of what clan related functions members of different ranks can do.
Member Ranks
Ranks and respective authority can be changed in the Clan Overview window. Below are the ones set by default.

* Clan rank must be 8 or higher for Windstride to be available.
Size Limits
Clans are limited to 50 members from the start. Increasing Clan Levels will increase the membership size limit.
Clan Levels
While players will reap plenty of reputation rewards through battling enemy Faction members, those rewards are best for your clan.
Clans are created at Rank 1 with basic benefits, like a Clan Vault and Noticeboard. However, increasing the Clan Rank provides ever-greater benefits. To do this, the clan has to meet certain requirements (detailed below). Some of the requirements include collecting substantial numbers of items, some of which (Soulstones and Faction Insignias) can only be obtained through faction-based daily quests. Prestige Points, a temporary PvP currency, can be gained by doing battle with the opposing faction and then can be traded for reputation within a faction. They can also be used to purchase Faction Insignias from each faction’s Coin Exchange Merchant.
Most items required to increase clan rank are obtained through gameplay that involves the clan to work together, or to honor their faction. Soulstones and Faction Insignias can, for instance, be obtained from certain enemy faction mobs, or by completing faction daily quests.
